Hello and welcome! I am a Dental Hygiene Practitioner with a licence for Independent Dental Hygiene. I’ve practiced Dental Hygiene within Nakusp since 2014 before establishing my Dental Hygiene practice. I’ve had broad experiences in diverse disciplines: low-income dental clinics (TEETH clinic in Nelson), community dental practitioner for First Nations Health Authority with the Skat’sin te Secwepemc (Neskonlith Indian Band), and a clinician in many private dental clinics.
I graduated in 2007 with a diploma in Dental Hygiene from the College of New Caledonia, a Bachelors in Health Science from Thompson Rivers University, and a Masters of Health Leadership from Royal Roads University.
Having 15 years experience in Dental Hygiene, within two countries (Canada and New Zealand), has encouraged an accepting, knowledgeable, and open-minded mentality for others’ experiences. Currently, I practice with a client-directed care perspective which leaves space for individuals’ unique preferences and lifestyles. A preventative approach rather than a treatment focus is communicated through the care I deliver.
